Moon in Sycamore Winter
I noticed looking out of my bedroom window one winter night in December 2020, that the moon, known in that season as a wolf moon, was glowing low in the sky. It looked as if it had been caught up in the stark branches of the Sycamore tree at the end of my garden. This was painted in watercolour on a heavyweight paper using very few colours, black, blue, paynes grey, and naples yellow with some white body colour. The original is in a private collection.
